Makan yum yum

Went to makan at Cilantro with Berney and Guishan..yum yum.

The food there is very well presented, blows any coffeeshop food away in Singapore.

Wagyu Beef Rice $9.80...Rice has good texture, salad is uninspiring but better than KFC. Beef is has fantastic texture and taste. Would be better if they served in larger chunks so that when bite got more juice explosion. Comes with Miso soup which is not diluted and has good taste.



I ate this Smoked Duck Rice $7.50..rice and salad was same as the Wagyu Beef Rice. But the smoked duck here is the highlight, it is very very well made, better than lots of restaurants. It packs juice, frangrance and texture nicely and the meat has absorbed the sauce/etc..it explodes in your mouth! Comes with Miso soup which is not diluted and has good taste.



Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab $5.80. Impossible to find such dish at this price anywhere in Singapore. Very crispy and can taste the crab meat. But rather oily.



Baked Chicken Pasta. This is super value. $8.50 if i remember correctly. The chicken here is not like those normal western food half chicken. Its tastes can be comparable to those from kenny rogers or nandos. Very juicy and has nice texture. Needed to wait rather long for them to prepare it though. Huge serving!




The desserts! All are nice, quality can rival starbucks/coffeebean/secret recipe cakes. Value can blow them off. $2 each.

Went Ah Chew hk dessert after that at Bugis..The dessert there is nice but quite expensive.

No have my one, mango sago and berney one. Cause mine is whole thing yellow colour and berney is whole thing white colour...no nice picture de. :(
