Some different!

just got back not long ago from work at Asad's relative the catering for someones malay wedding. lol. Was really interesting experience overall, i was the only chinese guy there! The jie jie, auntie and brudders there explain alot of stuff to moi. Then quite fun got cook cook, then got boring wash dish, got tiring serve food and pack food! Tired and sore now, got a few pics i will post tml. hehe

Asad recommend me this job..notch bad 3 figure pay for 2 day job.

Got ppl fry chickens


We were incharge of washing for that day..asad and his brother in law was, i and one buttie dry the dishes.


This my drying buttie, so many dishes! Time flies man when doing washing. haha

After that we go stir the chickens!


Hoho leaving them overnight to let the chickens and mutton suck up all the spices! yummy!

Then my washing buttie so kind send me to MRT at night to go home on his motobike! Next morning had to wake up at 5.30am to reach bedok at 7am. When i reach this things await me.


The boss wife teach me many thing, like what spice do what and tell me what to do and how to stir properly. This one very important curry think the name dalcha for the bryani rice de. One huge pot!


For bryani the rice is damn important also, the cooking process is tedious and complicated compared to normal chinese cooked rice.


After the rice like cooked abit they must transfer to sieve out the excess water

After pour the boss put the spices and demonstrate to them how to do

Attention to detail, the rice must not only be heated under, on top also must be hot to make sure the rice is cooked evenly.


After that i help this sister cook dessert, its like milky milk bo bo cha cha kind. She also welly frenly teach me many thing.

Then i got a slack job, i took my time transfering the beans..ahhahaha


11am the wedding reception going to start, everything setup at serving area swee swee we start serving to the waiters to pass to the guests sitting at the tables. Its like a more high class version compared to other malay weddings.






I was incharge of distributing the achar chilli out. See the red colour small small plate that one my one so u can imagine how much easier was my job..lol!


Had bryani for lunch, overall its pretty good, mutton abit tough though. The pastries and desserts were damn fantastic man!

We cheated abit, we standby ALOT of plates and bowls of our respective foods, u see my chilli i stack until like pyramid liddat liao. Cause.

5pm liao chicken finish lo! But not to worry, we got standby secret stash for us to tarpao home. hahhaa. The pic kinda looks like someone put a human inside and turned on the blender. lol


They also encourage no wastage of food, leftovers given out for free.


Packed and ready to give out, being a typical kiasu singaporean dunnid to guess i brought alot back home! hahahha
